late report - fished West Bay on Wednesday - found lots of trout, all small. 3 of us caught somewhere around 60 fish but only a handful of keepers. I put 4 fish on the stringer, which is all I wanted, buddies did a little better. I had a couple of good blowups early on top, but no serious takers. Fish were caught on plastic wading sand & grass beds down towards Greens Bayou and points back to the east, ended up finding the most fish around maverick bayou. Black & chartreuse tail N sand eel jrs & TTKII's on 1/8 and 1/16 heads. Caught a few on the baby Skitterwalks. My 2 buds were trying to catch enough fish to feed a family reunion this weekend, so we stayed with hammering schoolies trying to fill 3 limits..... didn't quite work... have to fry a bunch of taters!
