I booked the trip a month ago with Capt. Mark Talasek. And I was disappointed that the front decided to come in the night before I went! It was cold...water was generally in good shape, but really low. Missed a few fish off the bat, and caught a puppy drum in the colorado. Moved all around...couldn't get to a lot of spots due to low water. Final count was 2 rat reds and a puppy drum for me, and a rat red for Jamey. It was a slow day...and the wind was blowing EXTREMELY hard by about 1:30. Oh well...it happens and at least we stuck it out haha.

Dang amb. Sorry you had such a mean day. Well you paid your dues to the fishing gods So you will be arse up into fish the rest of the season. ;)

Wow, yesterday was the first day all year I've went outside and said "Damn, it's cold..." Cain't believe ya'll fished. Did the guide call you beforehand and tell you it was gonna suck? I believe I'd had to opt out. It felt like that day we fished the inside of the jetties last year and I caught a lone sand trout. Brrrrr....

He called me and asked if I was still ready to go the next morning, and I said heck yeah. I was going to be home anyway, and I knew the conditions were going to be bad, but I still wanted to go. Never hurts to try...the water was still in really good condition most places, but the honey holes were too hard to get to. He was a really good guy though and knew his stuff and tried his best to put us on some fish.

AP went out today and said he found a pair of ....um...well.Naynay's and your name was on them.. Think ya lost em out there yesterday!LMAO Said he was going to UPS them to ya. When ya absolutely, positively, have to have them overnight!:D
