Just want to know?

Just want to know if any one has been flounder gigging lately, or has the migration finished? When will the next time for gigging be? Is the water temp. too cold, do we need some warmth first?

Just wanted to see if anyone knows.

You should get plenty of replies to that question...We have a few people on the board that have flatfish blood running through them!

the run is over but you can always pick up a few.
lately the weather conditions have not been very good, ie. wind & rain
but on a calm night with clear water you should be able to find them

Majority of them are gone, but around March through April should start them coming back in. Not in numbers like the fall run, but the big females are usually the first to show. Hope this helps.

March/April will begin the major influx of flounder into the rivers & waterways. It really depends on water temperature. 69 degrees seems to be the optimum temp for migrations, both in & out.

Thanks for the replys guys. Been gettin all the cleaning and re rigging done so we can go out either late Jan. or early Feb. I think we'll forego the gigging until March as suggested.Thanks again, tight lines all.
