Wife (Nancy) and I decided to try out my new Pflueger ultralight on the Bo's, left Houston in warm weather and sunshine around 1:00 got to Katy just as the TPWD tank truck was backing up to the pond, weather had deteriorated and it was windy, overcast and getting cold. Took a look inside the tank and saw some Bo's that looked to be around 14 inches and fat. They must have stopped at a diner on their way down from A E Wood since they weren't hungry. Fished until 4:30 and only saw 3 trout caught, in fact even the water turkeys got skunked.

Wow Dell,
14" rainbows...I am jealous! They will get going in a day or two! Sure wish some of the other ponds were getting fish that size...I saw more 7"-8" at Tom Bass. May try Tom Bass lll in the morning depending on the weather.

I have been wondering why is it that Mary Jo gets to get stocked about EIGHT times where ALL other park ponds only get ONE stocking and also why Mary Jo always gets Trout well over TWICE the size of the Trout in ALL other ponds...Hmmmm.

I know the fish come from various hatcheries but that still does not answer these questions...:pop2:

Maybe ABWF should hold a rainbow trout tourny at Mary Jo! 50 ABWFers show up and we'll just clean out that pond! LOL I've never been there! Largest trout...biggest stringer...

We get the same thing in college station too, but I don't think we get quite as many fish in each stocking due to the size of the "Swimming pool" they are put in and the small numbers of people generally there.
