Hey guys,
I've been craving some food from the Krusty Pelican :hungry: and I was thinking about driving down Saturday. If I go an hour or two early, is there a good place for the public to fish from the shore for flounder? :fishing1:
Thanks,
River Fisher

CT,
Remind me again, if I want to go to Cedar cut, I need to go over the swing bridge and head East? I've seen guys fishing next to the swing bridge before while eating at the Krusty Pelican, I've just never seen them catching.
Thanks.

We got some nice flounder and reds from Sargent last year. Drive to Mitchells cut, and then walk back up the bank to where that first creek/cut meets Mitchells. We landed some nice ones on fingie mullets. Good luck!

OK AMB,
I'm class of 98' by the way. Usually I fish the San Bernard, Surfside, Christmas, San Luis, etc. Which way is Mitchell's Cut, I assume it's West of the swing bridge since Cedar cut is East. Which one is closer.
Thanks.

Good to see another Ag!
I believe mitchells is closer, although I have never been to cedar lake cut. You go down to the beach and take a right, go west until it dead ends. Like ct said though, sometimes the path down there is really bad though, depending on rain, tides, etc. Definitely need 4 wheel now that I think of it (we made a few times without it, but I really would recommend it). Then again, we usually did the drive in the dark so it was harder to see where to go. We never got stuck, but there were some nasty holes. Good luck and hope to see a follow up.

man sorry haven't responded sooner, to get to mitchells go 457 to dead end and turn right, I haven't been down the beach in a while so i cannot tell about its condition, cedar lake is to the left going back towards the banard river. My son and granson fish the beach evey time we go down an usually do good for shark an reds, but set out rods are not my thing- I go to sleep i i just set around so i lose to many fish. we usually fish the cut out of boat, just pull up to bank an anchor. Good luck
