Waded the Texas City Dike yesterday from about 2-6:00 PM. Drove along until I found bait and stuck with it. Got out onto the water and started chunking big plugs - no takers.

Late in the evening, the wind changed directions and it got cold - really cold for someone not quite dressed appropriatly. Too Cold. Just cold.

So...I'm taking the day off and putting some sealant on my waders...and waiting for my extremeties to begin feeling normal.

Thanks.

Thanks for the report, This time of year you gotta be prepared for everything out there. Where you actually wading by the dike or were you wading over off Skyline Dr.?

Nice try Vermelho. Waterhauls are common when it's colder but you definitely can't catch anything unless you go.

I was wading off of Skyline Drive near the "Tower of Power" - the great monolith of our Lord, Neptune...and Destroyer of Lower Units (see below)

OUCH, I could see that nast thing destroying a lower unit or two. Especially with these lower than low tides, that thing is nasty looking

Anyone have a gps mark that they are willing to share for that thing. Better safe than sorry.

Yep...and it's made out of concrete, too. Sits about 100 yards out in the water directly in front of that little, white Gazebo all the tourist visit on Skyline Drive.

Thanks.
