Met up with my dad this morning at the Texas City Dike at 6am. We headed to the jetties first but didn't like what we saw. Hard outgoing tide and westerly winds did not have conditions looking that great. Moved over to the gas wells and found trout willing to cooperate right away. From 7am to 9am we must have caught around 35 to 40 trout between 15 to 24". The majority of trout were in the 18 to 20" range. As always it was a blast fishing with my dad. I think we had 4 trout between 23 and 24" but these girls were released to fight another day. Ended up keeping 2 limits between 18 to 20". All fish caught free linning shrimp along the gas wells. Off the water at 1030.

Nice catch, Pimp! What happened to the one trout with only the head? Got some carnivorous activity out there??

Had about a 5 footer blowup on this trout while on the surface. My dad fought for all of about 3 seconds LOL.
