launched out of fat boys at day light on saturday morning and headed to some protected waters to do some wading. at our first spot i managed to hook up with a decent red that was stripping drag quicker than i could gain and the fish ended up wrapping around bret's legs about 40 yards down from me and pulled off. after that we caught a few small trout, a hand full of rat reds and i ended up catching one red that went 20 1/2" (iced him down) and another that was right at 20" (released for another day). we finished that wade and hit another spot picking up several more rat reds in the 17 - 19" range. picking up and moving again we hit a reef that bret does well with on flounder and he managed 1 16" flounder (iced him down) and a few small trout and 2 big golden croaker. we then hit a drifting spot and caught some small trout, more big golden croaker and bret lands a 23" red (iced him down). by this time it was 3 o'clock so we start heading in and make one last drift as were are cutting through jones only to pick up 2 more golden croaker. all our fish were caught on plastics. we never did get wet but it sure was windy. good luck out there.
