Picked up a friend at 4:30 am, headed to SS to get bait....were just in time to get some shrimp w/ the crowds. Headed to earnie's 2 and went up into church hill. Picked up a few trout and hit a spot behing SLP and got a few macs and a flounder. Then headed to the bridge for a few more macs. Hit the surf out on the galv. side of the pass.....more macs. Pobs of mullet every where! Finally about 2:30 I got hooked up on a big trout....Swa her out from the boat about 40 feet. The water was gin-clear. After about the 3rd violent head shake, she cut the line above the hook...lost her! We called it a day and headed in. Hope Ronnie had a good time, he hasn't fished in years! Boat ran great. Just didn't get into the trout like I wanted to these past 2 days. Taking a rest today...going to the Astros game later w/ Dad at 1pm.
