I have a 6600C, anybody have any idea how rare or how much it's worth. Thanks Red-fin
Well I will take a shot at this,... if your 6600 C is on of the ABU's from the SM series it is a collectable. The ABU's in the SM series are the Aluminum Reels that were made in the mid 90's, they were only in Production for 3 years I believe, maybe less. If this is the reel ( aluminum ) then yes, it is a Collectable and Rare, I have yet to find one on Ebay. I do not know the $ value of one but, it is worth something to a reel collector. I myself own a SM series ABU, the 6600clw it is the wide version of that line of reels. That is about all I know about that line of reels so I will stop this post before I start Babbling (sp ck) on about ABU's.

Thanks Dano, I dont think its that new. I believe it to be about 30 yrs old or so. I also got it from a guy who spent alot of time in Europe. The weird thing is when you do a search on E-Bay it turns up nothing. Thats rare in itself. I thought E-bay had everything. Thanks Red-Fin
Red-Fin, Try www.HatterasOutfitters.com the owner Tres Irby may be able to help you find out more about the reel. His site has a great deal of ABU'S that are only sold by Him, also there are alot of goodies that you can order to improve any ABU. Go to the "online store" or just call.
Hope this Helps;
Dano

You can give David at Davids Tackle Box in Rosenberg a call and he can give you a pretty good idea how much it is worth.
