North Jettys out of TC

We went out Sunday afternoon to the north jetties, took some shrimp and pounded Spanish Mackerals all afternoon. There were 6 of us, I know we brought in about 50 of them. Each of us got a nice bag of fish, for sure, and I love Spanish Macs on the grill with a little beer and butter!

Nice goin d13.....it is time for the trout to show up on the Galv. jetties....end of May and June.....coming up. Macs are really goos to eat, I agree....

Man, I lost 2 rattletraps and a gold spoon to those sharp toothed buggers. One even cut my buddy Dwayne's steel leader! I grill em with beer & butter. Always open a fresh beer for this; that way you can drink another one.

I've never had the chance to catch any of those Spanish Macs, but have heard they are fun to catch. I'm sure I'll give it a try this year. Is there a size and bag limit on these as well??

Man, and even the little ones hit that rattle trap like a freight train. I've caught em plenty in the surf and off the SS jettys but we really got into em out there. The water was really nice and green. Little dudes have good teef, though, don't stick ur finger in their mouths to get that hook out...
