Took my wife on her first ever Kayak fishing trip. After weeks of coaching her on everything to do. I started her off with a hard one.. SLP. We caught 9 trout 1 flounder and 1 black drum. We were throwing Red top silver bottom killer flats minnow from TTF. I dipped the tails in white and then Chartreuse. I got a good tip that they were hitting on these so I went to Academy in Lake Jackson and picked some up. We were working them fast with a 1/4oz leadhead but I think 3/8oz would have been even better. I just wish we could have stayed a little longer. All fish but one were over 20 inches. I had one I know went around 30" I had the drag set too tight and she shook off in front of my face. I was sick....

Great report and nice fish! Gotta commend you and your wife. Not a lot of ladies will get in a kayak, too tippy.
