Well, I went back to my little fishing hole again sunday afternoon. Got there around 5 p.m. and fish were jumping everywhere. Could see schools of shad up and down the creek. threw my cast net out where I saw them at and first cast had enough shad to last 2 days. lol It was still pretty hot in the day so I thought I would do some catfishing with cut shad. Fished for about an hour and a half with no bite at all. I switched to bass fishing for the heck of it. Rigged a carolina rig with a watermellon seed centipeed looking worm. 2nd cast caught a little 1lb bass. Fished for about another 30 minutes more and managed 3 more bass all about the same size. These bass in the bayou fight really hard to! Must be the environment and the currents that make them stronger. When the sun started going down I pulled the plastic worm off and stuck a piece of cut bait on the hook. (didn't feel like re-rigging) 10 minutes later caught another big channel cat. This one was around 6lbs. There are some giant catfish in these bayous!! All in all had a relaxing afternoon and caught a few fish!
