12/23/05 Pond Fishing

Where to start? I guess at the beginning. Chongo, Chongette and Precious made the trek in search of the illusive Pond trout today. These little fish had better taste good for all the trouble it is to catch and clean!!! I missed 15 easy and caught one while Chongette missed a few along with Precious missing many and losing them at the bank. Precious and I now realize that we are true Salt Water fishermen because we don’t have the touch for these fish.:mad: Give us 4# specks and 8# Reds any day.:D
Now Moonpie and Moonpiepette have this Rainbow Trout fishing down to a fine art. Hence the reason Moonpie must be a fresh water fisherman because he does not catch them like that in the Salt Water!!!!:eek: The two of them had a limit a piece in no time!! I know this for a fact because Moonpie gave both limits to me when I had to leave and take Precious to work. Thanks Moonpie. I guess I owe you a trout and red fish trip now!!!:rolleyes:
It was good to see AMB (even if he does not speak) H2O and the Tail clan again. I am sure they will give there own reports.
A word of warning! Don’t sit under the tree to the right unless you are as hard headed as Chongo. You will get pelted by acorns if there is any wind.:

Today was a beautiful day for Rainbow fishing at the pond in W/C. It was my first experience fishing with some of the ABWF crew that were there today. I must say the ABWF women are er, Competetive?:rolleyes: Poor little Moonpiette would catch a fish and go put it in the box,two would take her place on the bank. It was brutal. (Bluesman made a mental note to not get between ABWF women and fish in the water:D ) Like Chongo said Team Moonpie limited quick and easy. H2O was next to limit,then AMB.
Me and T-man did not limit out for both of us. We ended up with 6 total.For those who left before the Tailers caught a fish, they did not get skunked. In fact they all caught at least one. It was a nice day with some nice people having a great time talking about fishing and catching fish.

Yes it was a really nice day to be out fishing. It was great to see all the ABWF folks out after the trout.
I agree with bluesman. Them womens is shameless!:eek: :) LOL
AMB was tearing them up with the scooby doo rod! He looked so...so...so natural with it! :D

Moonpie put a hex on my fishing pole:eek: , But that's okay, cuz as soon as he left I caught 3 of those little boogers!! They are not much bigger than the finger mullet we use for bait!!! :D It was fun. Tater made 2 new friends, Tyler and Moonpiette. We had to drag him out kickin and screamin. Imagine that:eek: We had a great time, and would love to do it again anytime!!! Thanks H20 for the GI Joe rod and reel. And AMB, thanks AGAIN, for putting up with Tater!!

All I can say is there must have been some serious "hankey pankey" going on in that fish hatchery...:eek:

I had a couple the other day that looked like a cros between a mullet and a rainbow. :confused: ....Strange looking little dudes...They tasted good however...:)

I agree FNT. I grilled some up last night. Marinated them in Hawaiian fro 1 1/2hrs and then put em on foil with dill, lemon, garlic powder, little salt, and a couple of pats of butter. WOOOOWEE!

Haha! Sorry for late report but KILO obsconded with my mouse! ;) Sure had loads of fun seeing ev one as always it was a treat to see the kids having such a good time! Looks like we can put together the ABWF Jr. Potato Team. mct has Tater, bluesman has T Man & Moonpies little pinkie Moonpiette French Fry! What a hoot when she tosed in the bait & started slaying them pond fishies!

I am with Chongo & Precious on the "I think I like the Salt fishin better!
