Sorry for the late report, I was kinda embarrassed to post. Monday fishngolf and I launched from Bastrop marina, hit EVERY area I know. We threw an assortment of arties with out boating a single fish! There was zero wind as sunrise, but that quickly changed. Good water was not available. Even ran over to some spots in chocolate, total of 51 miles round trip on the salt according to the GPS. I wouldn't have even posted, except I spoke to a few other diehards I know and they didn't do much better....I think a combination of wind, moon, and barometric pressure???

Thinking of changing my handle from "determined" to "depressed"??

Peace & Love!

Just join us all with this mantra.
It's gonna get better.
It's gonna get better.
It's gonna get better.
It's gonna get better.
It's gonna get better.
It's gonna get better.

Mike, I think we all have had our fair share. Did you learn something from the trip? I think that's important. But hey look on the bright side, it can only get better. Good fishing to you Mike.

:noidea: You were not the only one to have a sheety fishin day on the 10th! I hit some of my run the bank areas & although there were sand trout & a few whiting (No post worth fish) only thing caught all day was a flat fish chip by baitme & NK lost a nice Red due to reelin to fast & no hook up... darn thing chased his bait to the bank! :noidea:

Soooo.... you payd your dues to the fishin gods & now you get a stringer full of wish & picture fish for sure!

:cheer2: Be Determined! :thumb:

Yup. Went tuesday and didn't even catch a trash fish. Didn't even bother with the report.

well you could have hit a reef , you could have had a flounder spit the hook back at you, sticking it in your ear, which would look normal in the emergency room now.returning with boat, motor and crew having all body parts is a good day.thanx for the report mike,70 deg. will be here soon
